Richard Chattock
Chief Underwriting Officer
Richard joined Montpelier Re (Bermuda) in March 2002. He founded Syndicate 5151 as Active Underwriter in July 2007 then became its Chief Underwriting Officer in May 2011. He has 26 years of underwriting experience encompassing Engineering risks, Direct & Facultative and Catastrophe & Risk Excess Property Reinsurance, as well as specialty classes. His career has also included appointments with CIGNA and AXA Re in London and AIG in Brussels, and as Underwriting Manager of the P&C Division for Cox Syndicate at Lloyd's. Richard has an honours degree in Engineering and Mathematics from the University of Reading.
